...I shouldn't even try to make excuses for taking so long. My computer tried killing itself or something a while back and I lost a few pages I had sketched out and started lining. I didn't want to have to redo them so I kept putting it off ^^() But yeah, I'm sorry guys.
In the meantime, Monday, the 25th of March is A New Friend's 3rd anniversary!! In celebration I'm going to work on another page and a special picture this weekend to post on Monday ^^ Thanks for sticking with me, even when I'm awful about updating.
Also, I'm removing the donate button and a few of the polls about merchandise. I decided I don't want this comic to be about money or anything, I just want to have Char Char's story told. I'm going to focus more on getting the updates out there rather than making them perfect for later. This is supposed to be fun.
Anyways, if you have any suggestions for the special anniversary picture, leave something in the comments for me and I'll think about it :3
They'll be Ackk? Is this some new kid thing that I haven't heard of yet?
@Da J Man:
A ball bounced off of her head. The layout is awkward and it took me a moment to figure out what happened as well. And, that was probably because I drew a similar incident in the past.
@GabrielsThoughts: Sorry, I was trying to make the layout a bit more interesting than just boxes. But I think Da J Man was kidding, I could be wrong though.
@GabrielsThoughts and mdg245 : Yeah, I was kidding, sorry if that wasn't clear.
Although it did take me a couple seconds to spot the ball, I did find it and understand the Ackk.
You know, the "Inhuman" web comic has interesting, if not unique, panel layout designs.
Also, there a zip file of manga templates available at deviant art if you are looking for ideals.
The standard newspaper format is four to five panels, but web-comics usually use three across. There is some artistic merit in using square and spiral shapes in addition to two point perspective. Not to mention there are programing languages and shoebox codes that can be used to convey meaning as well.
@GabrielsThoughts: I'm just trying out some new things. I know the basics I'm just trying to push the limits some. This layout didn't work well for you. Noted.
